Database Facts

What does it mean to be part of the 2-1-1 Resource Database?

2-1-1 connects callers to non-profit, public, county or faith-based organizations that helps people. These organizations offer services at no charge or may offer services to low-income individuals or families on a sliding scale or based on low-income qualifications. Currently, the 2-1-1 Mendocino Resource Database is the community's most comprehensive database of services, including more than 200 individual agencies with more than 400 programs.

What are the benefits to listing and updating my agency's information in the 2-1-1 Mendocino County Resource Database?

  • 2-1-1 can pre-screen clients and refer only those who meet eligibility guidelines set by agencies listed in the database. This helps agencies to use their resources efficiently.
  • 2-1-1 can promote programs to the community in an effort to increase outreach and program participation.
